The gemstone was named after J.P. Morgan, an American financier and gem enthusiast who played a significant role in promoting the arts and sciences. Morganite was first discovered in Madagascar in the early 20th century, but it can also be found in various other locations worldwide, including Brazil, Afghanistan, Mozambique, and the United States.
Morganite is a pink to peach color variety of beryl family forming prismatic and oftenly tabular crystals. This particular specimen is an incredible colorful specimen featuring gem Morganite crystal nicely combined with purple lepidolite and quartz. The Morganite crystal has perfect glassy faces with smooth flat termination and excellent transparency. It's well crystalized all around with no demage or any repair.
